Hallo Shoreham people, in the 1960s my family owned a Bungalow on the corner of (I think!) (old) Ferry Road and the main road along the seafront of Shoreham Beach. I spent wonderful holidays there as a child. Our Family lived in Croydon.
On the other side of Ferry Road there was a wasteland, on which some blocks of flats were built in the late 1960s. Between our bungalow and the beach there was only the main road (Old Fort Road, I think) and a car park. Our bungalow had pink pebbledash walls, a small garden, outside sheds the back and inside there were asbestos partitions between the rooms. The bungalow was called "Cranbrook". We had to sell it in about 1970 and I never went back. I'd love to know whether this Bungalow is still there or what is in its place! I could upload a photo if you show me how to do it!
